Ruhr Metropolis - Oberhausen

Oberhausen is located in the west of the Ruhr area and is known for its mega mall CentrO. There are over 200 shops, many restaurants, a 400 meter long boulevard and a small amusement park. In the nearby Metronome Theater are often special shows and international musicals running. You can also view the underwater world in the Sea Life Aquarium.

Near Schloss Oberhausen, you will find the Kaiser Garten. Here you can enjoy the nature, hiking in the woods or visiting the zoo. For a beautiful view over the Ruhr area it is recommended to visit the lookout platform of the Gasometer. The former tank body of a coke factory now serves as exhibition space.

The famous family amusement park Movie Park Germany and the indoor Ski center Alpin Center Bottrop are about 20 minutes drive from Oberhausen.
